ANÁLISIS CRÍTICO DE LA TRADUCCIÓN AL ITALIANO DE LA TEMPLANZA DE MARÍA DUEÑAS [ [Análise crítica da tradução italiana La Templanza de María Dueñas] [CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE ITALIAN TRANSLATION OF LA TEMPLANZA BY MARÍA DUEÑAS]

This article examines the translation into Italian of the novel La Templanza (2015a) / Un Sorriso tra Due Silenzi (2016) by Maria Dueñas. Inspired by the best-seller author's work, Amazon Prime Video produced a film in March 2021. To verify a literary translation's quality, criticism, evaluation, and revision will be taken into consideration since they are crucial in the translation process. The main difference between them is in the provisional text (revision) and the final text (criticism and evaluation); this difference would be forgotten either by translation specialists and training programs. However, translation strategies are usually considered, because they help us find equivalence in translation context and constitute the main objective of our study. where Pragmatics becomes important since it offers the necessary resources to carry out text review. Its methods are flexible and clarify the interconnection between utterance-context-interlocutors, those extralinguistic factors that determine our use of language and which are not dealt with by traditional grammar.
