A fresh examination of the Marcianus manuscript Gr. Z 622 of Hesychius' Lexicon, while confirming in τ 670 the reading τεττιγοφόρας against the τεττιγοφόρος of the last edition, gives support to Porson’s restoration of the original text of Aristophanes Eq. 1331
