Con questa nota vogliamo sintetizzare e mettere in evidenza le caratteristiche del «GRID» U.M.S. (Tavoletta 1:25000) per un confronto col «GRID» U.T.M. (Tavoletta 1:25000 dell'I.G.M.). Il confronto mostra una operatività più semplice e immediata per la U.M.S., rispetto alla U.T.M. Ciò è dovuto al fatto che sulla U.M.S le trasformate dei meridiani e dei paralleli sono rette ortogonali fra loro e possono coincidere col «GRID» kilometrico. This paper intends to make a synthesis and highlight U.M.S. GRID features Vs. U.T.M. GRID ones (both GRIDs at Scale 1:25000). The comparison between the two GRIDs show from an operational point of view that the U.M.S. GRID) is greatly simpler and more effective than U.T.M. one. That resides in the fact that, on U.M.S. GRID, the transforms of meridians and parallels are orthogonal ones anothcs, and they can coincide with kilometric «GRID».
