Abstract
Most intraductal carcinoma of the prostate (IDC-P) lesions are likely derived from retrograde spreading of cancer cells into adjacent benign ducts. Tumor cells in IDC-P frequently display a high degree of genomic instability. Germline mutations in DNA repair genes are implicated in IDC-P tumorigenesis.
