The author, through the historical periodization of Galópolis, seeks to address the importance that the preservation of the heritage of a still active industrial environment contributes to this construction. A place founded by Italian immigrants in southern Brazil, the result of the marks that society leaves on the territory over time and a phenomenon that reflects its social representations and its identity.
