The contribution aims to represent the work Cento Anni by Giuseppe Rovani in its many constitutive aspects: from the historical sources taken into consideration, which attest to the veracity of the facts represented, to the narrative and invention elements that weave the interweaving of a complex story, in which various elements are mixed and in which the Manzoni lesson is the reference it acts as a reference for dealing with laws and respect for justice. The work is also analyzed through the critical opinions that have helped to guide its reading to come to define the narrative structure.
