This map subdivides the Argille scagliose mélange in two groups of units: tectonic broken formations (tectonosomes) and olistostromes. It also shows the field relationships among the main structural and stratigraphic units of the Bologna area Apennines, with enphasis on the tectonic structures related to Cretaceous-Eocene and Neogene-Quaternary tectonics.
