We are celebrating thirty years of a work entitled I Ritrovamenti monetali di età romana nel Veneto, edited by the University of Padua, the Veneto Region and the Bottacin Museum of Padua, of which the first volume dedicated to Oderzo came out in 1992 and 18 others have been published over time. Today’s meeting recalls how the Project was born and how it has developed over the years, with thanks to all those - conservation authorities, scholars and young doctors - who have collaborated for its perfect success. It also highlights its importance and significance for the evolution of numismatic studies in Veneto and Italy. The work has marked a significant moment in the evolution of numismatic studies in the region and has itself become a model to inspire similar initiatives in other Italian regions and first and foremost in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
