Lo studio intende analizzare alcuni tra i più antichi esempi di una tradizione, fortemente simbolica ed evocativa, presente in diverse culture del mondo antico: il sacrificio del cavallo. Proprio nel Caucaso Meridionale dell’Età del Bronzo, infatti, si trovano alcuni contesti particolarmente significativi che verranno presi in esame e messi a confronto con le regioni limitrofe. The paper intends to analyse some of the oldest examples of a symbolic and evocative tradition rooted in different cultures of the ancient world: the horse sacrifice. Some of the most significant contexts, which will be examined and compared with the neighbouring regions, are found precisely in the Southern Caucasus of the Bronze Age period.
