Il presente contributo approfondisce le considerazioni svolte dagli
stessi Autori su alcune mappe rinvenute nell’Archivio storico della
Corona di Aragona. Di esse è stata data notizia preliminare; qui viene
tracciato un profilo storico geografico del contesto e del periodo in
cui sono state prodotte, anche se talune erano già note agli studiosi.
In questa occasione ci si soffermerà su quella relativa ad Alghero,
uno dei suddetti documenti, esaminando il contesto storico-cartografico
nel quale è da inquadrare e il profilo tecnico-costruttivo e
funzionale generale, prima di valutare come l’utilizzo della geomatica
possa contribuire a mettere in luce alcuni aspetti della città antica
in relazione a quello che, di essa, è oggi dato da vedere. This paper develops the observations made by the authors about
some maps found in the Historical Archive of the Crown of Aragon.
In a previous paper some preliminary information have been given;
here is traced a historical and geographical profile of the context and
the period in which the maps were produced, even if some of them
were already known to researches. On this occasion we focus on the
one concerning Alghero, one of the aforementioned documents, to
examine the historical-cartographic context in which it is framed and
the general technical-constructive and functional profile, before assessing
how the use of geomatics can contribute to highlight some
aspects of the ancient city in relation to what can be seen today.
