La ricerca ha avuto per finalità il rilievo e la riproduzione fisica di due busti di Franz Xaver Messerschmidt, realizzati alla fine del ‘700, presenti presso la Fondazione Palazzo Coronini Cronberg di Gorizia, riproducenti espressioni facciali insolite. Obiettivo, pertanto, è stato acquisire la geometria tridimensionale degli oggetti con un livello di dettaglio tale da garantire la registrazione anche delle lievi alterazioni cutanee, tale da poter essere riprodotta fisicamente con sistemi di stampa 3D ad alta definizione. L’esito, infatti, avrebbe dovuto permettere la comprensione tattile delle particolari sculture, con un accesso inclusivo rivolto soprattutto a persone con ridotta capacità visiva. / The aim of the research was the survey and the physical reproduction of two busts by Franz Xaver Messerschmidt, made at the end of the 18th Century, now at the Palazzo Coronini Cronberg Foundation in Gorizia, reproducing unusual facial expressions. The goal, therefore, was to acquire the three-dimensional geometry of the objects with a level of detail to ensure the recording of slight skin alterations, to be reproduced physically in high definition with 3D printing systems. The outcome, in fact, should have allowed the tactile understanding of these particular sculptures, with inclusive access mainly to people having reduced visual abilities.
