La Regione cura il Catasto regionale delle grotte, istituito
con L. R. 1 settembre 1966 n. 27, la cui gestione, per l’estrema
specificità delle attività correlate, è affidata con convenzioni
periodiche ad organismi facenti parte del mondo
della speleologia, ed ora, a seguito di modifica normativa,
alla Federazione Speleologica regionale del Friuli Venezia
Giulia, organo rappresentativo di quasi tutti i gruppi speleologici
della regione.
Attualmente il Catasto regionale delle grotte comprende
circa 7.500 cavità censite e rilevate, 25 delle quali assoggettate
a tutela paesaggistica in virtù delle eccezionali caratteristiche
di interesse geologico, preistorico e storico,
ai sensi dell’art. 1 della legge 29.06.1939 n. 1497. The Regional Cave Cadastre was established by Regional
Law No. 27 of 01st September 1966, whose management,
due to the extremely specific nature of the related activities,
is entrusted to bodies belonging to the world of speleology
with periodic agreements, and is currently, following
regulatory changes, entrusted to the regional Speleology
Foundation of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the representative
body of almost all caving groups in the region. At present,
the Regional Cave Cadastre includes approximately 7,500
surveyed and recorded caves, 25 of which are subject to
landscape protection due to their exceptional geological,
prehistoric and historical characteristics, pursuant to art.
1 of Law No. 1497 of 29.06.1939.
