Abstract
A result on wellposednes is obtained for strictly hyperbolic operators where the usual hypothesis of Lipschitz-continuity of the coefficients is replaced by the log-Zygmund-continuity one. The result is bounded to the case of coefficients depending on time and on one space variable.
