Abstract
Proceedings (senza ISBN) del Congresso “IV Encontro Brasileiro sobre Fluidos Supercriticos, EBFS 2001”, Salvador – Bahia (BR), 9-11 ottobre 2001. - Polydimethylsiloxanes (PDMS) are surfactants largely used in supercritical conditions for different applications fields. Aim of the work has been the evaluation of the effect of the presence of these agents in the impregnation process for the production of controlled drug release products. Polydimethylsiloxanes with relatively low molecular weight have been used and their solubility data at different conditions have been determined. Afterwards PDMS have been used for increasing the solubility of some drugs in supercritical carbon dioxide.
