Abstract
ISO/DIS 91 method, Polimerase Chain Reaction and restriction enzyme analysis were used in order to detect and identify Salmonella spp. in Lake Victorian Nile perch "Late niloticus". All Salmonella strains isolated were serotyped by restriction enzyme analysis as Salmonella typhimurium.
