Multidimensional Database Modeling: Literature Survey and Research Agenda for the Big Data Era

The purpose of this paper is twofold: First, to survey the literature on Multidimensional Database Modeling fundamentals, and Second, to sketch a research agenda which challenges Big Data four V’s, namely Volume, Velocity, Veracity, and Variety.
