The Veneto central area seems to be a paradigm of a new settlement and production model that attracts scholars. The description of this model is, however, on the whole, plural. It would almost have to wonder if there are many Venetian models as many scholars who have dealt with it and deal with it. And this is not due to the validity of studies, but of different perspective angle with which are implemented and of the continuous change in space and time of the situations into being. To understand the reasons of such difficulties description of Venetian landscape and measuring phenomena that conform, and gradually alter the appearance, the essay focuses on some general assumptions, trying to base on them the arguments that follow.
L'area centrale veneta sembra porsi a paradigma di un nuovo modello insediativo e produttivo che attrae gli studiosi. La descrizione di tale modello appare però, tutto sommato, plurima. Verrebbe quasi da chiedersi se non esistano tanti modelli veneti quanti studiosi che se ne sono occupati e se ne occupano. E ciò non a causa della validità degli studi, ma della differente angolazione prospettica con la quale vengono attuati e del continuo mutare nello spazio e nel tempo delle situazioni in essere. Per comprendere i motivi di una simile difficoltà di descrizione del paesaggio veneto e di misurazione dei fenomeni che lo conformano, e che ne alterano progressivamente l'aspetto, il saggio si sofferma su alcuni presupposti generali, tentando fondare su di essi i ragionamenti che seguono.
