The Enogastronomic Fingerprint of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Methodological Tools for the Local Development. The enogastronomic fingerprint is the result of a combined action of physical, biological and historical-cultural assets, able to characterize local wines and foods. The survey aimed to identify the enogastronomic fingerprint of Friuli Venezia Giulia impressed by those municipalities which are important for their range of traditional products. Using census data and especially information given by two enogastronomic guides, through the Cluster Analysis it has been possible to classify the municipalities of the region according to their potential and their supply of traditional wines and foods. To recognize the enogastronomic characters of an area will be useful for the definition of consistent local development policies.
