STUDI SUL SETTECENTO E L'OTTOCENTO. RIVISTA INTERNAZIONALE DI ITALIANISTICA
Abstract
The essay intends to present the general characteristics, the main interlocutors and the recurring themes of the correspondence of the Parma scholar Antonietta Ferroni (1780-1839), author of pedagogical and biographical works, linked by ties of friendship to Leopardi and Giordani. Preserved in the Palatina Library of Parma, the letters allow us to reconstruct the personal relationships (above all, but not only, from Parma and Bologna, and extended to authors of pedagogical texts), readings, cultural interests and publishing activity of the addressee, wife of the doctor Giacomo Tommasini and with him for a long time in epistolary relationship.
