In this special issue of the e-journal Esercizi Filosofici, entitled “La dimensione pragmatica in filosofia, linguistic e semiotica” (The pragmatic dimension in philosophy, linguistics, and semiotics), the contributing authors address a range of issues concerning both theoretical and practical aspects related to the application of pragmatics in the fields of philosophy of language, linguistics and semiotics. It consists of 21 papers which have been presented at the XVII National Congress of the Society for the Philosophy of Language (Trieste, September 16-18, 2010) and, before being published, have been evaluated through a peer reviewed process.
