Abstract
The manuscript tradition of "De mirabilibus sacrae Scripturae" is composed by two recensions: the short one and the long one; the short has been always considered as an epitome, althought the most ancient manuscript of the whole transmission, Karlsruhe, Badische Landesbibliothek, Aug. CXCI of the IX century (J), has the recensio brevis. The paper proves that the short recension is the original, that J has the features of a rough draft or school notes and that the long recension is an interpolated work that derives from a first revision of the short recension (A) and in particular from the model of LSU manuscripts. The paper also overturns the relationship between "De mirabilibus sacrae Scripturae" and the so-called "Munich Computus": the Mario Esposito's and Daibhi o Croinin's studies reported that the "Computus" quoted the long recension of "De mirabilibus"; the textual analysis of parallel passages (the exegesis of some miracles and the cycle with the date 655) and the comparison with the later "Computus Coloniensis" allows to assume that the short recension of "De mirabilibus" was interpolated with a "Computus" close to the Munich one, but different, later and expanded with historical data.
