The article reviews the latest work by Gianclaudio Malgieri, Vulnerability and Data Protection Law, 2023. In the book, Malgieri argues that personal variables of data subjects, which makes them vulnerable in the digital ecosphere, have (and, in prospective terms, could have more) relevance for data protection laws. As this article shows, there are several reasons why Malgieri’s volume is a must-read for all private lawyers interested in the impact of new technologies on people and the law.
