The purpose of this article is to analyse the attitude of the Italian Communist Party (PCd’I) towards Bordigism and Trotskyism following the Anti-Trotskyist campaign promoted by the Communist International. It is based on archival documentation stored in the PCd’I Archive and on articles published in the periodicals issued by the party leadership and within the Italian Communist emigration to France, the country to which most PCd’I militants and leaders went after the Fascist “Exceptional Laws”.
