A new subspecies of Cruciferae, Erucastrum nasturtiifolium subsp. benacense F. Martini & F. Fen. from the Lomberdy Pre Alps (North Italy), is described, illustrated and compared with the types of the other subspecies. The new taxon, E. nasturtiifolium subsp. benacense, basically differs by its leaves glabrous or with only few sparse hairs on the veins and/or on the margin, by its sepals entirely glabrous or rarely with few hairs at the apex, and by its petal-limb usually longer than the petal claw.
