The Authors reflect on "interests" and "investments" directed at cultural forms defined folkloristic, starting from the analysis of agent constraints with the Maranhense subcommittee of folklore. They seek to understand the genesis of the motivation of the "intellectuals" maranhenses for folklore, for the conceptions and problems associated with the folklore as they expressed in some of their textual productions. Los Autores reflejan sobre los "intereses" y las "inversiones" directas en las formas culturales definidas folclóricas, a partir de un análisis de las limitaciones de la Subcomisión maranhense de folclore. Tratan de comprender la génesis de la motivación que lleva a los "intelectuales" maranhenses al folclore, a los conceptos y a los problemas asociados con el folclore; los mismos expresados en algunas de sus producciones textuales.
