In the assessment process of Gender Dysphoria (GD) in developmental age, the role of support and guidance played by an appropriate test battery is of fundamental importance. Since there are no exhaustive guidelines regarding the use of tests in this area, reflections have been made, based on the extensive experience gained by the APEVAGE clinic, to describe the psychometric tools used and to contemplate their usage by describing their limitations and advantages. This work aims to be a starting point for clinicians approaching the subject of GD in developmental age as part of the diagnostic work and clinical exploration of the variables in play.
