SISTEMI INFORMATIVI TERRITORIALI E AMBIENTE, LA RACCOLTA DEI RIFIUTI A TIRANA GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND ENVIRONMENT, GARBAGE COLLECTION IN TIRANA

La necessità del Comune di Tirana era quella di affrontare il problema della raccolta e stoccaggio dei rifiuti che non era mai stato gestito e che stava creando grossi problemi ambientali nella discarica di Sharra (discarica a pochi chilometri dalla città). Nell’ambito di una gara Europea è stato organizzato un gruppo di lavoro che, fianco a fianco con la pubblica amministrazione, ha progettato sviluppato e messo a regime il SIT per l’ottimizzazione e la gestione della raccolta dei rifiuti. Gli step operativi sono stati i seguenti: l posizionamento ottimale dei cassonetti l ottimizzazione dei percorsi delle spazzatrici e dei compattatori l certificazione e controllo delle attività svolte dai mezzi. Tirana municipality’s need was to start to handle the garbage problem which they had never taken care of and which was creating serious problems in the SHARRA landfill. Using a European tender it has been organized a project group working side by side with the Tirana municipality that projected, developed and activated the GIS to optimize garbage collection activities. The steps to be approached were: l best site location of the bins l optimization of the routes of the trucks cleaning the roads and collecting the bins l certification and control of the activities done by the vehicles.
