This paper deals with a class of free vibrations for a
two-span, two-lane steel-concrete bridge. The deck structure is
modelled as a thin, homogeneous, orthotropic plate stiffened by
beams running along the longitudinal direction of the bridge. The
method of separation of variables is used to find exact solutions
for a class of free vibrations of the structure. A comparison
between analytical and experimental natural frequencies and
vibration modes of the bridge is presented and discussed.
