Una nuova iscrizione di Telesia portata a corretta lettura trasmette una nuova attestazione della carica di praetor II vir. Nel contributo si passano in rassegna tutte le testimonianze locali di questa magistratura, se ne traccia l’evoluzione terminologica anche in rapporto all’onomastica dei personaggi che la ricoprirono dalla metà del I sec. a.C. fino alla metà almeno del II sec. d.C. A recent investigation of an inscription belonging to Telesia revealed the existence of the position of praetor II vir. The article will examine all local testimonies of this magistracy, while going through its terminological evolution, also in relation to the onomastics of the personalities who performed it from the middle of the I century B.C. to, at least, the middle of the II century A.D.
