The planning standards are one of the key issues of urban planning in Italy. Unfortunately, the application of the law 765 of 1967 and the Ministerial Decree 1444 of 1968 has not always been successful in the transformation of urban textures of Italian cities. Indeed, often the application unwise of urban standards has helped to bring about the expansion of the city, with the formation of numerous urban voids within them.
Gli standard urbanistici rappresentano uno dei temi fondamentali della pianificazione urbana in Italia. Purtroppo l'applicazione della legge 765 del 1967 e del decreto ministeriale 1444 del 1968 che la specifica, non ha sempre avuto esiti positivi nella trasformazione delle tessiture urbane delle città italiane. Anzi, spesso l'applicazione poco accorta degli standard urbanistici ha contribuito a portare a dilatazioni delle città, con formazione di numerosi vuoti urbani all'interno di esse.
