This essay presents a summary of the scientific results of archaeological excavations carried out by the University of Udine on the site of the Great Baths (2002-2009), one of the largest and most important public buildings of Aquileia in Late Antiquity. As field director of the archaeological mission of the University of Udine at Aquileia, M. Rubinich presents here for the first time the periodization of the site, derived from analysis of the stratigraphy, and introduces the first publications of archaeological finds by young graduates who have studied them in their thesis. L’articolo presenta una sintesi dei risultati scientifici delle campagne di scavo archeologico condotte dall’Università di Udine ad Aquileia sul sito delle Grandi Terme (2002-2009), uno dei più vasti e importanti edifici pubblici della città tardoantica. Come field director della missione archeologica dell’Università di Udine ad Aquileia, M. Rubinich presenta qui per la prima volta la periodizzazione del sito, ricavata dall’analisi della stratigrafia, e introduce le prime pubblicazioni dei reperti archeologici da parte dei giovani laureati che li hanno studiati nelle loro tesi di laurea.
