The book, inspired by the experience and motivations at the School of Postgraduate Teaching Secondary, emphasized the importance of a laboratory setting of the transmission of the geographical contents and skills. The focus is thus on methods and tools suitable for a practical teaching of geography, aimed at a real learning meaningful and relevant. In addition to traditional text-based subsidies, in particular photos and maps, statistical data and charts and also the field work based on direct observation are specifically taken into consideration.
