The article analyzes the explicit references to Pulci's Morgante contained in the four editions of Teofilo Folengo's Baldus (Paganini 1517, Toscolanense 1521, Cipadense 1536ca., Vigaso Cocaio 1552). It then shows how Folengo followed Pulci as a model in the four versions of the episode of the ancient heroes hall.
