Abstract italiano
Il presente studio vuol essere un contributo, da un punto di vista filosofico, alla comprensione dei problemi determinati dal ricorso a procedure di labeling nel Supervised Learning impiegato nelle decisioni giuridiche, in particolare giudiziarie.
Più in generale, esso intende fornire alcuni spunti di riflessione sul rappresentare tecnologico, sulle problematiche che vi sono connesse e sui criteri che dovrebbero orientarlo secondo un approccio antropocentrico.
A questo scopo l’indagine si avvale delle considerazioni platoniche sull’arte mimetica e sulla metretica, rinvenendo in alcuni testi del Filosofo ateniese le indicazioni delle caratteristiche necessarie per il costituirsi di un rappresentare autentico e non falsificante. Tali testi ci aiutano a comprendere come sia il bene dell’uomo a doversi ritenere il criterio supremo di ogni rappresentare che abbia il suo oggetto nell’uomo, a maggior ragione nel caso del rappresentare tecnologico, per le conseguenze operative cui esso inevitabilmente sottopone gli stessi rappresentati.
English Abstract
The present essay intends to contribute, from a philosophical point of view, to the understanding of problems that are caused by the recourse to labeling techniques of Supervised Learning in judicial decisions.
More generally, this essay aims to develop some reflections about the technological representing, the related problems, and the criteria that should direct it according an anthropocentric approach.
To this end an important support can be found in Platon: his considerations about mimetic art and metretike give us precious indications in order to constitute an authentic and not falsifying representing. More specifically, Platonic texts help us to understand that men’s good is the supreme criterion of every representation of men, especially in case of technological representing, because of its operational consequences towards the represented themselves.
