Thomas H. Eriksen, defines anthropology as a discipline that “has the whole of human society as its field of interest, and tries to understand the connections between the various aspects of our existence” [1]. In this sense, it is self-evident that health cannot but represent one of the points of interest of the discipline.The article represents a critical view of how anthropology (and linguistic anthropology) can help in designing and managing cooperation projects in the field of Global and Public Health in low income countries
