The testing results obtained with the installation of four different bulbs to a 60 Series CB = 0.80 hull are here reported.
After the choice of a trial bulb, three further bulbs were designed, following the indications derived from the application of the S-D- Sharma – J-N- Naegle technique.
This experimental technique is suitable for more slender body hulls, but its application to a full form hull produced useful indication for a proper investigation.
It has been noted, indeed, that some resistance components variations have a similar trend of the wave pattern resistance, but the viscous resistance variation does not.
