Статья посвящена мало разрабо- танной теме деятельности в России видного представителя русской театральной эмиграции Юрия Ракитина (1882–1952). Деятельность Ракитина — режиссера и педаго- га в Белграде, Нови Саде и других городах Сербии (1920–1952) подробно освещено сербскими историками театра. Автор восстанавливает облик Ракитина — актера и режиссера, работавшего в Москве, в русской провинции и в Петербурге под руководством К.С. Станиславского и В.Э. Мейерхольда, освещает начало его самостоятельного режиссерско- го творчества. The article discusses the little known part of the work of a prominent representative of the Russian theatrical emigration Yuri Rakitin (1882–1952) prior to emigration. The achievements of Rakitin, a director and teacher in Belgrade, Novi Sad and other cities of Serbia (1920–1952), were covered in detail by Serbian theater historians, but his early work in Russia has not been discussed in detail. The author restores the image of Rakitin – an actor and director who worked in Moscow, in the Russian province and in St. Petersburg under the leadership of K.S. Stanislavsky and V.E. Meyerhold, and sheds light the beginnings of his independent directorial work.
