TURISMO E NUOVI NUCLEI RESIDENZIALI NELLO SVILUPPO URBANO DI STINTINO (SARDEGNA NORD-OCCIDENTALE): ASPETTI CARTOGRAFICI TOURISM AND NEW RESIDENTIAL IN URBAN DEVELOPMENT OF STINTINO (WESTERN NORTH OF SARDINIA): CARTOGRAPHIC ASPECTS

Il territorio di Stintino è una delle principali aree di attrazione turistica della Sardegna conosciuta a livello nazionale e internazionale per le sue spiagge. La sua connotazione turistica è evidente nell’organizzazione urbanistica lineare distribuita lungo la costa. La conformazione e la morfologia della Penisola di Stintino ha fatto si che l’espansione urbana abbia utilizzato gli spazi di sviluppo naturale delle spiagge, creando i presupposti per un’autodistruzione della stessa industria turistica. L’attenzione dell’Amministrazione comunale verso questo pericolo ha portato ad un ridisegno urbanistico del territorio. Questa scelta lungimirante è un importante preambolo per uno sviluppo sostenibile dell’attività turistica, mentre l’analisi e la rappresentazione delle attuali dinamiche territoriali, attraverso gli strumenti della cartografia numerica, costituiscono un ausilio fondamentale. L’inserimento in un Sistema Informativo Territoriale dei dati di distribuzione degli elementi naturali e antropici, ha permesso di ricostruire una serie storica, con un elevato dettaglio, di questi ultimi dieci anni dello sviluppo urbano del territorio di Stintino, in tal modo è stato possibile evidenziare molti dei possibili elementi alla base delle dinamiche urbane e turistiche del territorio. The Stintino’s territory is one of the main areas of tourist attraction in Sardinia, worldwide known for its beaches, and for its typical organization urban planning touristic. For the conformation and the morphology of Stintino territory’s, the processes of urban expansion has used the spaces of natural development of the beach. this fact have caused an impact on the shoreline and a damage to the tourist industry. The administration of Stintino, in order to resolve this problem, has planned a new urban planning. This choice is important for the sustainable development of the tourist activity. The analysis and the representation of territorial dynamics, through the instruments of the numerical cartography, helps the new realization of the urban planning. The historical series, of these last ten years, of the territory of Stintino development has been reconstructed through the distribution data of the natural and anthropic elements insertion into Geographic Information System. in this way they have been evidenced the bases of tourist and territorial dynamics.
