Abstract
Lo scritto tratta del processo attraverso il quale le città gemelle, divise da un confine che, pur se virtuale, rimane sempre a livello di sovranità statuale, si trasformano in un’unica “città nuova”. Vengono considerate le differenti forme di possibili interpenetrazioni tra le due città, e poi si elaborano possibilità che le attuali Gorizia e Nova Gorica si trasformino in una nuova città, da chiamare Gorizia/Gorica o Isonzopoli/Sočepolis. Per verificare ciò si ricorre alla costruzione di scenari di previsione (attuale, dopo 5 anni, 10 anni, 15 anni) su tre ipotesi di rapporti fra le attuali due città: che restino separate come ora, che sviluppino una più o meno forte integrazione differenziata, che si fondino in una città nuova e “normale”, e cioè uguale a tutte le due le altre città salvo i vincoli che possono venire dal fatto se ancora esiste un confine tra due sovranità anche se disattivato. Vengono alla fine considerati sei possibili scenari finali (al 2035), compresi tra la “città nuova” impossibile, lo scenario velleitario, lo scenario negativo assoluto, la “città nuova” relativa, lo scenario del “blocco realistico”, e da ultimo la “città nuova” ottimale. The paper deals with the process by which the twin cities, divided by a border that, although virtual, still remains at the level of state sovereignty, are transformed into a single “new town”. Different forms of possible interpenetrations between the two cities are considered, and then possibilities are elaborated for the present Gorizia and Nova Gorica to be transformed into a new town, to be called Gorizia/Gorica or Isonzopoli/Sočepolis. In order to verify this, forecast scenarios are constructed (current, after 5 years, 10 years, 15 years) on three hypotheses of relations between the current two cities: that they remain separate as now, that they develop a more or less strong differentiated integration, that they merge into a new and “normal” town, i.e. the same as all the other two cities except for the constraints that may come from the fact that there is still a border between two sovereignties, even if it has been deactivated. In the end, six possible final scenarios are considered (as of 2035), ranging from the impossible ‘new town, the unrealistic scenario, the absolute negative scenario, the relative ‘new town, the ‘realistic block’ scenario, and finally the optimum ‘new town.
