Il mito di Dante da Trieste a Ravenna: focus su alcuni disegni preparatori relativi al concorso di primo grado per l’Ampolla dantesca donata dalle province irredente
In 1907 the Dante Alighieri Society of Florence had thought of placing a lamp in the Dante’s tomb in Ravenna, to honor the figure of the great poet. In the same year Riccardo Zampieri, director of the irredentist newspaper «L’Indipendente» in Trieste, launched the idea that the irredent provinces under the Austrian government donate the cruet to contain the oil of the lamp. There was a first-degree competition in which 29 artists participated and the article proposes an analysis of a group of little-known preparatory drawings and sketches.
