The Enogastronomic Fingerprint between Typicality and Tradition. The enogastronomic fingerprint is the result of a combined action of physical, biological and historical-cultural assets, able to characterize local wines and foods. The survey aimed to identify the enogastronomic fingerprint of Friuli Venezia Giulia impressed by those municipalities which are important for their range of traditional and typical products. Using census data and especially information given by two enogastronomic guides, it has been possible to classify through the Cluster Analysis the municipalities of the region according to their potential and their supply of traditional and typical wines and foods. To recognize the enogastronomic characters of an area will be useful for the definition of local development policies consistent with the needs of that area.
