We describe two typologies of experiences in using the Moodle e-learning platform, as support to face-to-face teaching, in the University courses of History of Mathematics and Mathematics Education, and in teachers' education. These courses are atypical, among those of Mathematics, because the students belong to different degree courses, the teaching methodologies and the learning materials are different from the habitual ones. Moodle platform has been used for increasing students' interest, stimulating to deepen the subject and inciting cooperation. We present the methods we used and the results.
