Lo studio dei manufatti e degli elementi strutturali rinvenuti durante gli scavi della città di Adria (RO), in via Ex-Riformati, ha fornito importanti informazioni sui legni utilizzati per la loro costruzione e sulle fonti di approvvigionamento, con particolare riferimento alla vegetazione arborea/arbustiva presente nell’area indagata. I legni utilizzati appaiono scelti in base alle caratteristiche tecnologiche e in rapporto al loro impiego. Considerando i taxa rinvenuti possiamo dire che la fonte di approvvigionamento del legno è essenzialmente locale, i legnami usati appartengono, infatti, a specie tipiche dei boschi planiziari circostanti l’insediamento. The study of artifacts and structural elements found during the excavations in via Ex-Riformati, Adria (RO), provided us with important information about the wood used for their building and supply sources, particularly referred to the arboreal vegetation situated in the indicated area. The applied wood was supposed to be chosen according to the technological features and in relation to their use. Considering the taxa that has been found, we can say that the wood’s supply source is mainly local, the employed timber belongs, in fact, to the typical species located in plains covered with trees surrounding the settlements.
