Elements of the insect fauna in the eastern suburbs of Portogruaro (VE): contribution IV.
The results of the fourth entomological survey, conducted in 2014, in a mixed urban and rural area in the eastern suburbs of Portogruaro (Veneto region, north-eastern Italy) are presented. 35 species of insects, of which 15 species do not detected in the previous studies, were observed. Particularly interesting is the occurrence of nine species of Lepidoptera Rhopalocera and 11 species of Hymenoptera Apoidea. It is important to emphasize the presence of alfalfa fields in the agro-ecosystems, since they promote biodiversity (species richness), but also provide several agronomic advantages.
