On integral points on surfaces

Abstract
A new method is introduced to study integral points on quasi-projective surfaces. The general theorem obtained has been subsequently used to solve several cases of Vojta's conjecture for surfaces. It has been later generalized to higher dimension and extended in Nevanlinna theory.
