Entwicklung eines mehrschneidigen Messerstirnfräskopfes mit Einzelschneidenkraftmessung

In which way a 3D piezoelectric force measurement at each cutting edge can be integrated into a face cutter, is shown by the results of the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) in RWTH Aachen. In analogy, the setup of one milling dynamometer has been analysed exemplary within turning trials. By reduction of masses and levers, the signal quality can be significantly improved. © Carl Hanser Verlag.
