Adhesive, invasive, cytotonic and cytotoxic activities of C.coli and C. jejune were evaluated in Vero and Y-1 cells. Both the strains have these activities. Adhesive, invasive, cytotonic and cyytotoxic activities seem to due to the strains, the origin (food, animal and human) and to the cells. The strains originated from food demonstrated less adhesive, invasive, cytotonic and cytotoxic activities than the strains from human or animal. Maybe food attenuates these domains.
