Religious freedom, in this paper, is conceived as freedom of religion and freedom from religion. In the firts part, three conception of religio are distinguished: comprehensive, thick and thin. In the second one, an historical sketch of evolving law-religion relationship is provided. In the third one, finally, three costitutional question are discussed, biological life, same-sex marriage, and life's end.
