The article aims to be a concise presentation of the data from the excavation of the Mithraic temple found in Camporosso near Tarvisio about forty years ago. Many questions remain unresolved due to only partial investigation of the building, which appears to have been built in the 2nd century AD and deliberately destroyed in the years between the 4th and 5th centuries AD. The numerous fragments of inscribed stone monuments document the attendance of the sanctuary by mainly servile people employed in the statio Bilachiniensis, the first customs station in Noricum along the Aquileia-Virunum road located in Camporosso.
