The short and stormy story of «Praxis» (group and review) and of its humanistic marxism is the continuous struggle – even if after its end – against four enemies. At the beginning, against the dogmatic (Stalinists) Marxists, then the official and bureaucratic positions of the Communist’s League, furthermore the technocrats of selfmanagement and finally, especially during the Eighties, the rising nationalisms in which the Praxis group knew an unexpected and inconceivable rift. Nowadays, almost three decades after Yugoslavia, among the bitter fruits of transition we can find the silence and the absence of any leftist idea or project.
